The European Awards for Best Practices 2013 Convention, organized by the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR), was held at the Ballroom of the Parkhotel Schonbrunn in Vienna, Austria, on Sunday, December 8, 2013. Seventy-six organizations, public administrations, universities, companies and NGOs from 63 countries, representing sectors such as public administration, education, aviation, energy, technology, oil and gas industries, banking and insurance, food and beverage, hotels and tourism, motor and shipping industries, real estate, construction and engineering, transportation, heavy industry and healthcare, among others, received the European Awards for Best Practices 2013 for the outstanding commitment, support and results in quality management strategies. Both the Convention and the Awards Ceremony brought together business leaders, Ministers, Mayors, civil servants, diplomats, quality professionals and academic experts from different countries.
